Product:Alouette® Soft Spreadable Cheese

 
  • Ingredients:
  • tbsp. olive oil
  • tsp. garlic, chopped
  • cup onion, minced
  • cup red bell pepper, roasted, chopped
  • cup bacon, blanched and chopped
  • tbsp. fresh parsley (or 1 tbsp. dried)
  • pkgs. (2.1 oz.) frozen mini phyllo shell
  • cup baby bella or other mushroom, chopped
  • pkg. (6.5 oz.) or 2 pkgs. (4 oz.) Alouette Garlic & Herbs, or Alouette Peppercorn Parmesan, or Alouette Sundried Tomato & Basil Spreadable Cheese.
  • Methods:
  • In a non-stick pan over medium heat, heat oil and sauté garlic, onion, pepper, mushroom and bacon for 3-5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and add Alouette Garlic & Herbs Spreadable Cheese.
  • Blend and simmer for a minute.
  • Remove from heat and stir in parsley.
  • Spoon a heaping teaspoon in each phyllo cup and serve warm.
  • For a creative touch, use any variety of seasonally fresh vegetables such as chopped fennel, summer or winter squash, etc.
